Dear property owners,
With the new regulations for home rentals coming into force, it is now mandatory to register your property with the new One-Stop Portal for Temporary Accommodation.
This official registry was created to ensure transparency and control over the short-term rental market, and it will become mandatory starting July 2025.
Here, we explain simply what it is, what it’s for, and how you can register your property.
What is the One-Stop Portal?
The One-Stop Portal is a digital platform launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda.
Its goals are to: • Centralize the registration of all homes and rooms intended for tourist rental.
• Assign a Rental Registration Number (RRN) that officially identifies the accommodation.
• Facilitate the monitoring and traceability of tourist activity for both public authorities and users.

Why is it mandatory?
• From July 2025 onwards, having a Rental Registration Number (RRN) will be mandatory to advertise your property on platforms like Airbnb, Booking, Vrbo, etc.
• Without this number, you will not be able to legally advertise or rent your property.
• This obligation adds to other recent measures we discussed in our article about the 10-day rental limit for tourist accommodations in the Valencian Community.
Who must register?
• Owners of homes rented out entirely on a temporary basis.
• Owners renting out rooms within their primary residence.
• Agencies or companies managing short-term rentals.
It’s also important to remember that, besides registering with the One-Stop Portal, property owners must comply with the new traveler identification obligations established by Royal Decree 933/2021.
